A Refugee's Victory Over Adversity Nasser Hamid, a 20 year old refugee from Sudan, achieved grade four passes in maths and English in the recent GCSE exam results.
His academic success is a testament to his determination and resilience. Despite fleeing war torn Sudan as a teenager, Nasser has overcome incredible odds to achieve his goals.
Nasser's journey began at Suffolk New College, where he started as an ESOL student. He worked hard to master English and maths, subjects that are often daunting for those without prior exposure.
